The University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Center for Gifted Education is an instructional, research, and service center-- one of only about 20 such comprehensive centers focusing on the needs of high ability/gifted learners in the nation and the only one of its scope in the State of Louisiana.

The work of the center is guided by a newly formed

Center for Gifted Education Advisory Committee.

Our advisory committee meets regularly to provide support and expert ideas on how to enhance services and create partnerships for the benefit of the University, College of Education, and key stakeholders.

  • Pre-Collegiate Enrichment programs for students in grades PreK-Grade 9

  • Interdisciplinary collaboration and partnerships with existing University programs, local school districts, state and local agencies to extend resources and understanding of the needs of high ability learners, educators, and families in Southwest Louisiana & nationwide.
