The following list outlines the criteria for each scholarship awarded in the College of Education. If you are interested in applying for one of these scholarships, you must download and complete the Scholarship Application Form [Word 6 Format].
You must be enrolled in 12 hours of course work to be eligible for College of Education scholarships.

Marvene H. Bonnet Education Scholarship Criteria
GPA 3.0 overall minimum. U.S. Citizen, LA resident. Teacher certification. Jr. or Sr. (Preference will be given to a senior majoring in elementary education.)

Martin S. Bourg Scholarship Criteria
GPA 2.8 overall. 3.3 in Kinesiology courses. U.S. Citizen. LA resident. Senior. Male majoring in Kinesiology. Teacher certification.

GPA 3.0 overall minimum. U.S. Citizen and LA resident. Jr. or Sr. Elementary Education Major.

GPA 3.0 overall minimum. U.S. Citizen and LA resident. Jr. or Sr. Major or Minor in Library Science with intention of becoming a Librarian.

GPA 3.0 overall minimum. U.S. Citizen and LA resident. Majoring in music in College or Arts or College of Education. Must be selected through audition. May not be offered each year.

Lafayette Parish Retired Teachers Association Memorial Scholarship
GPA 3.0 overall minimum. U.S. Citizen. LA resident. Majoring in a high demand field.

GPA 3.0 overall minimum. Minimum ACT score of 20. U.S. Citizen. LA resident. Graduate of public high school from one of the following parishes: Acadia, Vermilion, Evangeline, St. Landry, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Mary, and St. Martin. Jr. or Sr. majoring in Education.
